Barry Brown’s Game Hunts have been offered since taking ownership in 1978!
His former 10 year career with the Ontario Natural Resources prepared him
well for the transition to outfitting Game Hunts. Primary Species offered include
Black Bear, Whitetail Deer, Moose, Timber Wolf, Grouse & Hare. Much of
the prime hunt area includes the Turtle River-White Otter Provincial Park which
boasts “High-End” Trophy Class Game. By all standards, this Park is very
remote, unspoiled & definitely unpopulated. A single; sparsely travelled
highway (622) winds through 2 million acres - no rail lines, runways or power
lines! Abandoned, log-haul tertiary gravel roads & trails are sprinkled over
portions, permitting limited access!
Located 2 hours Northeast of Fort Frances, ON & 3 hours Northwest of Pigeon River, ON (Canadian Border Crossings), you are accommodated at Browns' Clearwater West Lodge. Separate, private 2-3-4 bedroom Cottages are fully equipped for all your housekeeping needs. Hunters on Meals Plans are catered to in the Lodge Dining Room. This facility is centrally located on a vast Hunting & Fishing playground.
Each Fall, for 2 weeks in November, we operate an additional “Whitetail Deer Hunt” in the agricultural region of the Rainy River District, on Private Farm Land Property! Ask anyone, it doesn’t get any better.
For Gun Import into Canada, each Hunter’s firearms must be registered (25.00 approx.). This form includes up to 9 firearms for a 60 day term. Handguns & Fully Automatic firearms are prohibited. In addition you may import 200 rounds of ammunition.
Upon booking, 50% of the Hunt Package is required. (Cash/Cheques Only) Deposit is non-refundable; but transferable. A Government Tax Rebate of 6½ % apply to most Hunters as a Visitor’s Incentive. References readily provided. Please e-mail or call for clarification on any matter, with any question.
